  1. Rick, you sound like you are very adventurous. I am wondering can you make any suggestions about how to apply for positions like this? (P.S. I met Priscilla obliquely because she and I both published stories in Drinking Diaries). I taught in the Master of Professional Writing Program at University of Southern California for six years. Anyway, your blog is just gorgeous, and I wish you glad and interesting tidings.

    • Rita — Thanks for your kind comments. Getting an English teaching job in China is pretty simple: Just google the subject and you’ll find tons of websites listing jobs over here. Apply online and you’ll usually get a quick reply. A couple of caveats, though. If you’re over 60 like me, it will limit your choices because it’s hard for senior citizens to get a work visa. Also, there are a lot of fly-by-night schools over here so make sure you carefully check them out before accepting a job. If you need any more information, just let me know.

P.S. — I’m always curious about how people find my blog. How did you learn about it?
